So many people are trying in vain to fill an emptiness in their soul. They attempt to fill it with drugs, alcohol, sex, shopping, work, noise, everything possible and it just doesn't work. I believe our souls really cry out for God. We are made to want and need God in our lives, and why not, when God loves us with an everlasting love?
Jeremiah 3:13 The Lord appeared to us in the past saying " I have loved you with an everlasting love. I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.
Isn't that all we really want? Everlasting Love? 1John 4:10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
Satan wants you to believe you are worthless. That you mean nothing. But the real truth of the matter is, God loves you with an everlasting love. He made you, He chose you and He loves you forever.
Instead of all those meaningless, empty things, turn to the One who will fulfill you. as Paul said:
Phillipians 4: 12,13 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living well fed or in want. i can do all things through Him who gives me strength
Turn to Jesus for contentment. Claim Gods love. Open your heart to Him
Dear Lord, Help me to trust in you in all things. Lord, help me to never doubt your love, after all, you sent your Son to die for my sins. Please fill the empty spaces in my heart with you. In Jesus name I pray, amen

God Sings!
Zephaniah 3:17
The LORD your God is with you,
He is Mighty to Save
He will take great delight in you;
in his love he will no longer rebuke you,
but will rejoice over you with singing
Did you know God sings? yes He does and He sings over you and me!.. as you see in Zephaniah 3:17, God takes great delight in us and rejoices over us with singing because He rejoices over us.
I never thought about God singing before and especially not because of me.. did you? I imagined he was happy when I obeyed Him, but now we know He is so happy He sings out of love for us! The very thought puts a big silly smile on my own face!
I don't know about you, but I know I want to do all I can to make my God sing out of rejoicing over me..

When Bad things Happen to God's Children
I was laid off from my job a few months ago, because the company I worked for, felt they couldn't afford to continue to pay me. When it came time to pay my bills out of that final paycheck I prayed a quick prayer " Dear Lord, I am afraid, but I am going to continue paying my tithe to you. I am going to trust you to take care of my finances. Thank you Amen.
Two months later, when paying bills out of un-employement income, I noticed I still had the same amount in my checking account that I had on the day I deposited my final paycheck. I frantically went back over my checkbook and bank account and could find no errors. Frustrated I took a break and went to my Bible and to pray. My devotions that day was 1 Kings 17:10-16. Do you remember the story of the widow who gave her last bit of oil and flour to feed Gods servant Elijah? The widow was in obedience to God and God fed her and her son and Elijah and God provided enough oil and flour until the famine was over.
I have to tell you, rarely do I hear God speak to me so directly, but with tears running down my face I praised and thanked God for his mercy and for keeping my flour and oil full until my personal famine is over. I have now been unemployed for seven months, but my God is still keeping my flour and oil from running out. I have not paid one bill late and I promise, that little unemployment payment, while welcome, does not cover my bills, groceries, gas, etc!. Isn't God Great!?
I don't know what God has in his plan for me, but He is taking care of me until He places me where he wants me to be, all I have to do is trust and obey
Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Dear Lord, please help us to remember that you have a plan for us, and that you promise that all things work for our good if we only love you. Please help us to place our trust in you in times of hardship. In Jesus name we pray. Amen
